Transition Tune-Ups, 6 booklets
Call us wild and crazy, but how fun is it to create transitions with a purpose while also being totally engaging? Each booklet has ten different activities.. The cards are labeled Monday through Friday. Choose a tune-up for each day of the week. A tune-up consists of two activities for each day. The first activity is rapid naming practice and the second activity is a brain integration activity. Put on some music with a steady beat once the students have mastered the brain integration activities and up the fun factor. Yes, we said the word fun, and we are proud to say it. Fun. Fun. Fun.

Research Minute: According to Dr. Maryanne Wolf, when children struggle with phonemic awareness and rapid naming speed this is called the double deficit hypothesis meaning that these two deficits together create the perfect storm for a struggling reader.
